Botswana and South Africa have confirmed their places in the WBSC Europe/Africa Softball Qualifying Event for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad Tokyo 2020, which will be staged from 23-27 July in Utrecht, Netherlands.Botswana and South Africa emerged as possessing the top two Women's Softball Teams on the African continent, following the Women's Softball Africa Qualifier, which was won by Botswana on Saturday May 11, 8-1, against South Africa, at Rietondale Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa.

It will take a few more months before all eight participating teams of the Softball Qualifier Event Europe / Africa are known. But what is certain is that it will be a very exciting and unforgettable tournament. Do not miss it! Day tickets are now available for just € 5.50 per person.

Baseball and Softball Association UVV organizes the Softball Qualifier Event in Utrecht from 23 to 27 July 2019. Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced today the groups and a 42- game schedule for the WBSC Americas Softball Championship, qualification event for the Games of the XXXII Olympiad Tokyo 2020. For the first time in history WBSC staged a draw defining the composition of the Groups. The draw was held at the WBSC headquarters at the Olympic Capital, Laussane, Switzerland, and was live-streamed via YouTube.
